MeshApp launches digital platform to support doctors representatives in India
New platform offers insurance access, medico-legal support, passive income opportunities, and community tools for healthcare professionals
MeshApp has launched a digital platform aimed at improving collaboration and operational support for doctors and pharmaceutical representatives across India. The platform is designed to address challenges faced by healthcare professionals and provide access to financial protection, legal aid, peer interaction, and workflow enhancements.
MeshApp enables verified doctors to access insurance at discounted rates. These insurance schemes aim to reduce the financial burden on healthcare providers by offering protection at lower premiums. Clinics using the platform can also act as lead generators for insurance products, with pre-sale and post-sale processes handled by MeshApp’s backend team. Doctors receive referral-based earnings without direct involvement in the transactions.
The platform also offers a closed and verified community space for doctors and pharma professionals. Within this environment, members can exchange professional updates, discuss industry challenges, and engage in case-based and technology-led conversations. This interaction is intended to enhance decision-making, support ongoing education, and build stronger ties within the healthcare sector.
A key feature of MeshApp is its nationwide medico-legal support. The platform offers access to legal consultation from leading law firms across India, with the first 15 minutes of each consultation offered free of charge. This service addresses growing concerns about litigation in clinical practice, with over 1,000 medical negligence cases reported in 2023, according to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB). Doctors can seek guidance on issues related to consent, documentation, and legal liability.
MeshApp also supports doctors with additional income avenues outside the clinic. These include partnerships with outpatient department (OPD) insurance companies, opportunities for advisory roles, participation in post-marketing surveys, and involvement in digitally managed clinical studies.
In a future update, MeshApp plans to introduce automated tools to assist with accounting, documentation, and appointment scheduling. This development seeks to reduce administrative tasks and allow doctors to focus on patient care. With more than 85 per cent of OPD patients in India currently uninsured, as reported by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) in 2022, MeshApp aims to bridge this gap while also providing passive revenue opportunities for clinics.
Speaking about the initiative, the MeshApp team said, “Our mission is to give doctors more control, more clarity, and more time. With MeshApp, they’re not just getting a tech tool—they’re joining a movement that prioritises their wellbeing, simplifies interactions, and builds a stronger healthcare network.”
Dr Gunjan Kishor Sharma said, “As a practising doctor, I’ve often wished for a platform that truly understands our day-to-day challenges beyond clinical work. MeshApp is that solution—it gives us community, support, peace of mind, and tools to grow professionally. I believe every doctor in India can benefit from joining this movement.”
